A very big thank you… from Malvern

A very big thank you… from Malvern

I can’t quite believe that it is nearly a month since we left Meole Brace, and before time flies any more we wanted to just send you all a very big thank you for all your cards, gifts and special farewells as we left Shrewsbury. We were bowled over by your generosity and will look to buy some nice new garden furniture with the money when it finally stops raining here! I’m enjoying playing my new guitar and am realising that I might actually need to play it in the odd service or two here in due course, but I wouldn’t wish my playing on anyone at the moment!

We’ve finally just about unpacked all our boxes now and are beginning to feel settled in our new home here. Josh and Eleanor have made a great start at their new school and are very happy, and I’m gearing up to begin here on the 24th. We are enjoying our lovely location – we have fantastic views of the Malvern Hills from our house and have already been out for some great walks on the tops.

It was very strange not to be at Meole for Christmas, but we were kept in touch with what was going on via Facebook and twitter so still felt part of it! Do remember us in your prayers in the coming months – there are many challenges ahead here, and lots to learn, but we are going into a really supportive community and we travel with a big God who equips and provides for those he has called.

We look forward to seeing some of you at my licensing service.

With much love and prayers

Dave, Alice, Josh and Eleanor.
