Baptisms and Confirmations 2023

Baptisms and Confirmations 2023

There’s something really important about finding ways of saying “count me in” to God and to the life of the Church. We’d love to help people to do that. On Easter Day (9th April) we’re offering a chance for adults / young people to be baptised or to renew their baptism vows. Then on Sunday 18th June Bishop Michael, the Bishop of Lichfield, will be with us with the possibility of people being confirmed.

For those who haven’t already been baptised – either as babies or older – baptism for young people and adults is an amazing opportunity to commit to following Jesus and to live as life-long and whole-life disciples of Christ. Before the big day there will be opportunities to meet together to check out what this means, and to support you as you take a step of faith. There are also opportunities for you to consider renewing your baptism vows, ie for those who were christened as a baby but for various reasons as adults want to more publicly and formally renew their vows and enter more fully into the ongoing baptised life.

Confirmation is for those who have been baptised already. It gives people an opportunity to “confirm” for themselves their commitment to follow Jesus and be part of the life of the church, and for your church family to pray for you and cheer you on as part of God’s amazing family here and across the world.

To let us know you’re interested in being baptised or confirmed please click on the link below and we’ll be in touch with you about ‘next steps’. And if you want to chat further, do talk in particular to Phil, Fi or Craig and we’d love to meet up….
