Annual Meeting on 30th April at 630pm

This year’s Annual Meeting will take place on Sunday 30th April at 630pm in the Trinity Centre. All are welcome to come. The paperwork required is available at the back of Church, as well as for download below. Each year we put together an annual report which outlines something of what is going on across Trinity Churches. With articles by many of the different leaders in the church, it is a great way of finding out everything that is going on across the parish. “Growing younger” and “making disciples” feature highly in this year’s report, as well as some of the opportunities, changes and challenges which are expected over these next few months.Copies are available in paper from church… go on, take one home. But for now you can......

Coming up after Easter

My old boss used to say churches have three seasons. “Plant in the autumn, reap in the spring, and make wine in the summer.” We’re not promising that all of our events in the summer include wine, but there are a number of opportunities to grow together, have fun, and get involved in different things as we continue to celebrating being “God’s amazing family”.   The Bereavement Journey set off on Monday 24th April, 3pm in the Trinity Centre. Runs fortnightly over four sessions. Annual General Meeting is on Sunday 30th April from 630pm in the Trinity Centre. Radbrook Green Couch to 5k begins Thursday 4th May from 815pm, meeting at Café Connect. Soul Purpose takes place from 28th and 29th May on the Meole Estate. Men’s Breakfast on Saturday......

Soul Purpose

…on the Meole Estate On 27-29 May 2017 young people from churches across Shrewsbury will again be putting their faith into action and showing their love for local communities in practical ways by gardening, litter picking, running street cafes and children’s fun days. The teenagers join together in the morning for worship and then go out to serve the community in small teams, overseen by a leader, in the afternoons. In the evenings, Soul Purpose hosts community events, including the ever popular Hog Roast outside the Meet Place – look out for our flyers, and we hope to see you there!...

Bereavement Journey

It’s such a privilege for us as a local church to be involved with families in the sadder moments of life when someone dies. We are soon to begin our latest “Bereavement Journey” group exploring bereavement and the many emotions surrounding it. We don’t have all the answers, but hope it will be a stepping stone to learning to live without the person you have lost. It is based on Christian principles, but is suitable for anyone with or without a Christian faith. > The next course begins Monday 24th April, 3pm in the Trinity Centre, and will run fortnightly over four sessions. If you’re able to please let us know if you’re coming.  ...

CLASSIC Car Show

We are all passionate about something, and for some of us that ‘something’ is classic cars. At Holy Trinity Meole Brace we are hosting REVS 2017, a classic car and bike show on June 17th from 11am. But this is not just an event for the Petrol-heads amongst us. There is something for everyone of every age, whether that’s looking at the up to fifty cars and bikes we will have on display, sharing food together from the hog roast, building your own vehicle with Lego or junk modelling, or trying out your motor racing skills with our Scalextric or Playstation challenge. We are also holding a ‘Design a Car of the Future’ competition with some of the children from our local schools: So come and see their designs......

Kids Count!

There’s an amazing team of people involved in work with children and young people across the parish. Toddler groups, Messy Church, Trinity Kids, schools work… it is such an encouragement to see different people in different places help build “God’s amazing family” here. And so we’re holding a day to say “thanks”, “keep going” and “get excited.” Come and be encouraged, affirmed, better equipped and excited on Saturday 13th May from 1.30pm – 7.00pm at Holy Trinity Church, Meole Brace.
