Café Connect

Regular visitors or first-timers to Café Connect will have recognised something different recently.
Alongside the newly refurbished tables and chairs, the writing on the wall gives a flavour of what’s at the heart of Café life.
“We wanted to display about the Café’s priorities” says Megan Arnold, new chair of Café Connect management team. “The three words – faith, hope and love – seemed to sum that up best, with us seeing the café as a place where faith is lived, hope is given and love can be shared.”
Charlotte Gompertz, curate at Trinity Churches, said “It’s not just the decorations but the everyday life of the café where faith, hope and love can be seen. ‘Mini Messy’, Christmas gifts to the community, a listening ear or a praying friend. Just as Jesus seemed to spend much of his life sharing life, eating meals and offering hospitality, we want the café – and everything we do at the Church of Christ the King – to keep doing the same at the heart of Radbrook Green.”
Come along. You’re welcome to join us, and join in. And if you want to join dozens of others in the café team, working for a session each week, we’d love to hear from you. Speak to Dave or Lissi, the Café Managers.
