Can you help us with Christmas hampers?

2020 has been a challenging year for many, and here at Trinity Churches and Oxon Parish, we would like to take the opportunity to spread a little comfort and joy to those who are struggling in our communities this Christmas. It may be a family who have fallen on hard times due to Covid, or perhaps it is an individual who will spend Christmas alone as they are unable to see or visit family.
This year we will be providing up to one hundred Christmas hampers filled with gifts and treats. If you would like to help spread some comfort and joy in this way, there are four ways that you can get involved:
- Please pray for the hampers and for the families or individuals who will receive them.
- You can sponsor a hamper for £25
- Or you could donate one or two items to go into the hampers. We are looking for a variety of things to put into the hampers, including nuts, chocolate coins, tins of Chocolates (Quality Street/Roses etc), shortbread biscuits (large/small boxes or tins of biscuits), smaller Chocolate boxes, Nutella/Peanut butter spread, Chocolate Santas, Christmas cake, gifts suitable for a lady (e.g. hand lotion etc), gifts suitable for a man (e.g. deodorant set etc), bottle of non alcoholic shloer or similar. Also, if you would like to buy a toy for a child, please get in touch with us and we can let you know the age range and gender we are looking for.
- We need people to deliver to families on Christmas Eve, and to individuals on Christmas Day. You might be the only person they see on Christmas Day and it would be lovely to be able to give a gift and bless people on this day of celebration.
Donated items can be dropped off at: 2 Perivale Close, Radbrook, SY3 6DH. And if you’d like to sponsor a bag then please speak to Keith and Amal.
