Christmas 2020

Coming up in December

This year is going to be a Christmas like few others.  This season of “comfort and joy” holds together the hope that Christmas will bring joy and celebration after a uniquely difficult year, along with an acknowledgement that we are called to bring comfort to many who are troubled or grieving. Paul wrote in Romans about ‘Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep’. We will aim to celebrate where we can together in one place as well as remaining online, and involving our wider communities who more than ever this Christmas will be looking for ‘comfort and joy’ in their own lives.

We would love to help you bring the love of Jesus to your friends, neighbours, class mates, work colleagues or anyone else this Christmas.  You might want to bless a neighbour who is struggling with fuel or food poverty, buy meaningful gifts for neighbours or colleagues, give books that tell the Christmas story to children you know, buy a gift for friends at school that speaks of the hope of Jesus or buy a real Advent calendar for someone. The list is endless!  We are envisaging that most projects will be under £100, but are also committed to funding a few larger projects so feel free to dream big…  Let us know your plans by 13th November by filling in an application form.
