Supporting God’s work in the UK and further afield
The Church Army is a Mission Community working within the authority of the Anglican Church in the UK and Ireland. Neville is Director of Operations manages this work, overseeing and growing some of their 24 centres of mission, which are not physical buildings. Church Army has always been about reaching outside the walls of the church to meet people where they are. They are not tied down to a single area, but are free to move around and be responsive to people living in different areas of the diocese.
M and H, with their family, work in remote villages in a country where conversion to Christianity is criminalised and it is hard for people to show openly that they are Christians. The family seeks to serve their local community, showing God’s love in practical ways and offering to pray for those in need.
The Fletcher family have made the Khlong Toey slum community their home for the past five years. Having built relationships and put down roots, they now participate in local community life to address issues of poverty at a grassroots level, creating the Community Business ‘Roy Rak’. Jon and Elise are working to see strong local leadership formed with neighbours, finding strength to work together. They trust that God is building his Kingdom in the most overlooked places.
ReSource’s vision is to see churches across the UK Alive in the Spirit and Active in Mission. ReSource helps churches and church leaders to keep the person and work of God the Holy Spirit at the forefront of their discipleship and their mission, with a particular heart for little, local and ordinary churches.
CMP works closely with the Food Hub in Shrewsbury to distribute surplus supermarket food to members of the public to prevent its wastage, and provide much needed support to people on lower incomes and food poverty.
