Exciting opportunity to get involved!

This year Steve Jones and a few others are planning a dramatised Passion Play on the morning of Good Friday Friday 19th April 2019 as part of the established ‘Walk of Witness’ that annually takes place up Pride Hill, Shrewsbury. It will start in the Quarry with Christ’s betrayal and move to Mardol Head with Peter’s betrayal and then into The Square with Pilate’s washing of hands and then the Presentation of the Last Supper. We have also discovered links to the 16th and 17th century ‘passion plays’ that used to be supported by The Drapers Guild. We are hoping to be able to tell the Easter story to a much wider audience and to encourage them to attend services at Trinity Churches on Easter Sunday.

We are looking for members for all different church congregations to get involved in acting, costume and prop making and technician support.  We have a production team and we now are at the exciting part of bringing together cast members! So if you have a budding Jesus, Pilate, disciples, or a crowd scene member please get involved! It would be great to get a few people from each Trinity Churches congregation involved – as part of spreading the good news to a wider community. Rehearsals will be kept to a minimum. For more details please phone 01743 340145 and ask for Steve or leave a message on the answer machine. To find out more there is also a meeting on Tuesday 12th February, 7:30pm at the Trinity Centre, Holy Trinity, Meole Brace.
