Faith hope and love in action!

Faith hope and love in action!

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.” (Matt 11:28-30)

I often think about those words… and then decide I’m too busy to do anything about it. To many in our 24-7 society they can seem like an impossible goal or a cruel ideal. “It’s all very well for first century Christians, but they didn’t have as much as I’ve got to do…”

Over Lent 2020 we are returning to a familiar gift which we’ve explored at least twice this last ten years; “the rhythms of grace”. They speak about putting things into our lives which help us to walk with Jesus and grow as disciples. How might we be living like Jesus? Or being open to the Spirit? Or time to dig deeper in prayer and worship? What does being a gracious presence in the world around us, and sharing our faith sensitively, look like for us as individuals and as a church?

We’ll be exploring these both on Sundays and in a midweek Wednesday night group. And, for those who would like, we’re offering a Discipleship MOT once more, a chance to check out how you’re doing and reflect on how you might continue to grow in grace. We really hope you can get involved with us. See our latest Trinity Life publication for more details on these events.

With my thanks and prayers, as always, as together we continue to “grow faith, proclaim hope, and live the love of Jesus.” Take a look at our new logos on the front of the March Trinity Life edition that reflect this journey of growth we’ve been on as a church family.
