Growing Leaders course set to run from September

Come and spend one session a month over a year taking part in the CPAS “Growing Leaders” course. We Growing Leaderscan promise some great input, time in small groups, opportunities for worship and to be mentored, and some great fun along the way.

Throughout the course we’ll be exploring what it means to be “led more by Jesus, lead more like Jesus, lead more to Jesus.”

Christians in leadership roles in every area of society need support and encouragement so that they can live out and share the distinctives of godly leadership. Like throwing a pebble into a pond and watching the ripples spread out, we hope that through what people learn together the wider life of the local church and countless others will be blessed.

Who is the course for?

Many people across the UK have taken part in “Growing Leaders” over the past few years. The course is both for existing leaders, and those who want to ‘step out’ into leadership in a new way. So whether you’re an established leader or a leader-in-waiting, and whether you’re a leader in the workplace, church, college or community, come and join with other leaders from Shrewsbury churches in this fantastic course.

This year there will be some small group content with a specific youth / young adult focus, and this course would be ideal for younger emerging leaders to be equipped as they take some first steps in ministry in church and in the workplace.

We’d ask you to have the support of your local church leader, so that they can pray for you and discern with you where God might be calling you to develop your own leadership in the future.

Who is running the course?

The course will be hosted by Phil Cansdale and Matt Guilder, and they will be working with other leaders and speakers in doing the input. The course also includes an opportunity to meet one-to-one with a mentor on a regular basis. For many people who’ve taken part in Growing Leaders in the past these meetings have often been the highlight of the course.
