Moving on soon…’it was right in front of my face!’ -Dave Bruce

I can hardly believe that it is three and a half years nearly since I first arrived in Meole Brace and as I look back, I see with great gratitude just what God has done in me during that time. But soon it will be time to move on and as you will probably all have heard now, around Christmas time I will be leaving to go and take up my new post in the New Year, as Team Rector for the Malvern Chase Team Ministry (Three churches – All Saints Malvern Wells & Wyche, St Andrews Poolbrook & St Mary’s Pickersleigh) in Malvern in the Diocese of Worcester.
We are all feeling really excited aboutand have a real sense that this is such a ‘Bruce family’ fit and that God is clearly calling us here. To top it all we have had a special picture hanging in our toilet for the last 5 years now (see photo)… which to me has been an amazing sign that all along God has been preparing this place for us, and at small group last Thursday, just a few hours after I had said ‘yes’, we watched a video which finished with the lines… ‘God may have something for you and it might be right in front of your face!’ this and have a real sense that this is such a ‘Bruce family’ fit and that God is clearly calling us here, and we can see how in so many different ways, our time at Trinity Churches has been amazing preparation for what lies ahead.

So we look to the future with great excitement, a little trepidation and the sure knowledge that this is where we are meant to be for the next few years. We’ll be sad to leave so many friends – people we have journeyed with – behind here, but we’re still around for a few months yet!
Thank you all of you who have prayed for us and supported us in these last few months. God is a good and faithful God!
