Pentecost Sunday Joint Service and Prayer Walk to Wellington
This Sunday is Pentecost Sunday – a day of good news about how God works for good in and through us! It is also the culmination of 11 days of praying ‘Thy Kingdom Come’, asking God to show us our part in building the Kingdom here and praying for our friends*.
We start with a joint service at 10.30 am at Holy Trinity with guest speaker Sam Ward from Eden / Message Trust. In the evening is a Shropshire-wide celebration in Wellington with Rev Dr Kate Coleman who will speak on how Christians can be leaders for good in their communities.
Connecting the two is a walk from Holy Trinity (12.00 noon) via lunch (provided) in Atcham, arriving in Wellington 5.30pm for food before the evening event. Bishop Michael (Lichfield) is to join us for part of the walk.Click here to book in
The total distance is about 12 miles. There is a minibus in attendance all day, so you can walk part of the route and then get a ride! Dogs welcome on the walk.
