Radbrook Community Fun Day!

Radbrook Community Fun Day!

Looking forward to the Radbrook Community Fun Day 2015…

On the afternoon of Saturday 12th September 2015 the church of Christ the King will once again be hosting our annual Fun Day for the whole local community. This will be the fourth year in a row that we have hosted this event, and we are hoping that quite a few of those who have been to previous fun days will come along again! We haven’t yet planned this year’s, but we will be soon…the team involved is amazing and always enthusiastic!

My recollection of last year’s was as always all sorts of fun things for families to come and do…face painting, a bouncy castle (always popular!), balloon shapes, Biscuit decorating, Bead Bracelets, Masks/ scratchy book marks, Nail painting and many more. Not forgetting of course there will be I’m sure lots of food and drink and lots of friendly faces to welcome people!

But what stands out for me when thinking about these fun days are the many conversations that I and other CTK folk have with those who had come from the community…just ‘getting to know you’ conversations, but vital relationship building conversations. This is us as church saying ‘we are here for you’ to the community. That for me is a good enough reason to put on a Fun Day – and yes, I’m sure it will be lots of fun! May all the glory go to our God!
