Christmas Crib Services

Well done for finding yourself one of our Nativity Rocks. There are lots of different characters all hand-painted on, including Mary, Joseph, angels, shepherds and wise men. There are even some sheep who have got lost and are looking for their way home!

We’re going to be featuring the rocks in our two crib services this year at Holy Trinity Meole Brace, taking place on Christmas Eve at 3.30pm and again at 5pm. We’d love you to come along – with the rock – and help your “rocky character” find their way back to the nativity scene. These services last about forty minutes, are very much for all-ages, and are an amazing way of beginning Christmas family festivities with excited children. This year we’re going to be creating our own “rocky road” and thinking about God’s gifts of peace, joy and hope in our lives today.

If you have found a rock but can’t make the crib services then you’re invited either to bring the rock to Meole Brace church before then and start off our nativity scene in the churchyard, or alternatively to take it home with you and use it as part of your own nativity there. And take a look below at some of our other Christmas events, as well as some links to find out more about the big story of Jesus’ birth.
