The Windfall Project – film screening

The Windfall Project works with adults with learning disabilities making delicious jams and chutneys, alongside teaching kitchen and work based skills, and building self-confidence.
The aim of the project is to allow people to use their existing abilities, learn new skills, build self-esteem and have a whole lot of fun. Preserve making is special because it allows people to be part of a process from the picking to the bottling, giving a great sense of purpose and achievement.
We have felt for a long time that a gardening project would complement our existing activities and allow more people to be part of what we do. We have been offered a piece of land and feel that now is the time for the garden to come to life – hence the need to raise some money to get us under way.
Rupert Grey, lawyer, photographer and adventurer, has been described by the Adventure Journal as ‘making a good run as the world’s most interesting man’. He has kindly offered to talk about the amazing adventures he and his wife had when driving through India in their family car – a 1936 Rolls Royce. A film, Romantic Road, has been made of the trip which will shortly receive cinema release in the UK and alongside stunning images, unforgettable tales and a fascinating insight into India, Rupert’s talk will include clips from the award winning film.
Ticket price includes a curry supper and feel free to bring your own beer and wine if you would like. Please note that BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL.
