Do you remember how you came to believe in Jesus as your Lord and Saviour? How did it come about that you learned of God’s love for you? Was it something you grew up knowing, or did it happen gradually over time, or did you have a ‘road to Damascus’ experience? And who were the key people on your faith journey? For me, a friend nervously invited me to the Alpha Course – and that very literally changed the course of my whole life.
Alpha began again this week with 21 people signed up. It is so exciting to be able to walk alongside these wonderful people as they ask the big questions of life.
And there are still a few ways in which you can be involved. It’s not too late to invite a friend, family member, or colleague to come along. The more the merrier! Or perhaps you would like to help in a practical way – help with washing up after the meal is always appreciated. And last, but by no means least – prayer. Please pray for the guests, that they encounter God during Alpha. You can do this at home or there will be a room in the Trinity Centre set aside for prayer every Wednesday evening.
Thank you for being part of these people’s faith journey. What a privilege.

This Sunday, 12th October, we are beginning a new sermon series in the mornings looking at the New Testament letter to the Colossians…in which Paul constantly reminds us to keep Jesus at the centre of all that we do. At 9am and CTK our speaker will be Charles Ruxton, with the All Age Team leading at 11am. At Holy Trinity, Belle Vue Fi Iddon will be hosting the Preschool Harvest Service. The evening sees us continue our theme of ‘Parables of the Kingdom’ and Kevin Roberts will be speaking to us. Trinity Youth will be meeting at 6.30pm upstairs in the Trinity Centre as they continue the Bible Course together.
