As we head towards Holy Week, I wonder what surprises you the most about the story of Easter?
This week, a fantastic team of church volunteers have been in Meole Brace Primary School for our annual Prayer Space sessions. Over 350 children came in small groups to journey through the events of Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday and Good Friday together. Through drama, reflection, discussion and creative activities we explored the story together, wondering about surprises and learning more about the love of Jesus.
There were funny moments when leaders had to clarify that it was ‘Judas’ and not ‘Judith’ that betrayed Jesus, serious moments as we stepped into the story and considered some of the emotions, and uplifting moments when a child grasped the idea of Jesus’ sacrifice and simply said “I love Him.”
It’s such a joy and privilege to share the story with these children, and as is so often the case with these sessions, we learn so much more from the children than we teach. We are thankful for the wonderful relationship we share with the school, for our amazing team of hardworking volunteers, and the many people that hold up this work in prayer.

Renewal of the Electoral Roll: it’s time…
Every six years, Anglican Churches up and down the country need to renew their Electoral Roll. This is essentially a list of those people who call Trinity Churches ‘home’ and ‘family’.
We are asking you to complete – either online or on paper – a form to either join, or to renew your membership of, the electoral roll. This isn’t just a paper exercise, but is a really important way of saying, ‘I belong’ to the life of the church both locally and nationally. It seeks to be an indication of the strength of church life, recording the amazing family of God who make up churches across England seeking to be a Christian presence in every community. We’ve done everything we can to make this process as smooth as possible.
Thank you so much to those of you who have already filled in the forms, but there are still a lot more to go! Apologies for the new website temporarily pressing the ‘pause button’ last Sunday, but we are all back up and running again. Please do complete these forms this week if you are able.

Service of Remembering
On Palm Sunday at 3pm we’ll be holding our twice yearly Service of Remembering. This is an opportunity to remember those who we have loved but who are no longer with us. There are opportunities to light a candle, enjoy the stillness and peace of church, and we’ll read the names of those for whom we have take funerals in the last 18 months or so. We’ll hear again of God’s gifts of faith, hope and love. The service will last about 45 minutes, and will be followed by refreshments.
If you would like a name added to this list: either someone to whom you’ve said goodbye recently, or someone long deceased but still very much on your heart, then please do speak to a member of the clergy. Or come along to the service where you’ll be able to give us any names you would like included as you arrive.
Radbrook Community Tea
Do come along to the Radbrook Community Centre this Wednesday for a wonderful afternoon tea… and please do pass on this invitation to anyone who might appreciate it.
Holy Week in a Box
Our Messy Church, Little Buds and Trinity Kids families will all be receiving a small box which allows them to explore the events of Holy Week at home together. Please be praying that, as families read the Bible together, the love of Jesus will be revealed to them in a fresh and deep way.
