I once saw a joke on Instagram that said, “Whoever wrote the song, ‘Easy Like Sunday Morning’ has never tried to going to church with a toddler!”
As a parent looking back, these words are so true! No matter how welcoming a church is and however much your church family tells you that they love to hear your toddler babbling and scrambling around, you still wish they would stop wriggling in the prayers, that they didn’t announce loudly in the sermon what was in their nappy, or that they weren’t crawling under the pews and looking for sweets in Mrs Jones’ handbag again!
It’s good and right that we meet as a family of all ages, and we are always looking for ways for each of us, however young or old we are, to grow in the love of Jesus, and sometimes that can include specific gatherings in addition to our Sunday worship together.
Little Buds Toddler Church meets on the 2nd Friday of each month at The Trinity Centre and aims to offer preschool children and their adults time and space to explore a Bible story through creative play, crafts and activities. We then have a short time of gathered worship with story, song and prayer and finish with lunch together. It’s so much fun, but more importantly, Jesus meets with us in the utter chaos, as well as those rare still moments, and both adults and children are invited to wonder and explore what the love of Jesus means for them. For many preschool families, this is their church, and we rejoice in that!
Please do be praying for these families and give thanks for our amazing team of volunteers that support this exciting ministry. Do get in touch if you would like come along and see what happens but be prepared to get messy!
Grace and Peace
Cerys Hughes, Minister for Children and Families

This Sunday, 15th June, we’ll be meeting across our congregations to worship together.
At our morning services we’ll be beginning a new series on ‘one anothering’, with Sarah Rozenthuler speaking at 9am and 11am and Keith Moore speaking at CTK. Ian Budd is preaching at both HTBV and the Evening Service. Trinity Youth will also be meeting at 6.30pm this Sunday as they continue to study Colossians

This free event takes place this coming Wednesday at 2pm in the Radbrook Community Centre. Please do come along or invite anyone who you think may be interested.
Musician Meet up
The meet up for musicians takes place this Thursday, 19th June, at 7.15 in Church. This is a chance to pray, play and reflect together. All are welcome!
Ian’s Priesting: Joint Service on Sunday 29th June
What a joy it will be to host the ordination to Priesting of our very own Ian Budd on Saturday 29th June at a joint service at 10.30am. There will be no other morning services across the parish that week (though the evening service will be meeting at 6.30pm). We’ll be following this with a ‘bring and share’ church family lunch, and you can let us know that you are coming by clicking the link below:

Parish Profile Working Group

As you will know, a group have begun work on preparing our parish profile, which acts a little like a job description for our new vicar.
As well as direct approaches to groups and ministries, there will be two open meetings held on Wednesday 25th June – at 2pm (in the back of church) and at 7pm (in the Bradbury Hall) – and anyone is welcome to attend these.
Let’s keep being a church that is praying for the vacancy process, and listening to how the Lord is speaking to us.
Photography in Church
A reminder that Hannah Moore (pictured above) will be in Holy Trinity on the this Sunday and next Sunday morning, and CTK on the morning of 22nd June, taking some photos for the parish profile. As we’ve already talked and emailed about, there will be an area for those who don’t wish to be caught on camera to sit, and we won’t use any photos of under 18s without specific permission. Hannah will be the only one using a camera, and will have a lanyard on, but we’ve included her photo so that you know who she is. Hannah has great awareness of the sensitivities around photography involving children and young people. If you have any questions, please do speak to Fi, or to one of the wardens.
Summer Welcome event
