Mission Focus – Operation Mobilisation and the Logos Hope ship visit

Come on board!

Liverpool is famous for its maritime history. This year writes another chapter.

Since Operation Mobilisation (known as OM) - a global charity that 'mobilises' Christians to share their faith in Jesus - launched the mission ship 'Logos Hope' in 2009, nearly 11 million people around the world have visited. This year it is visiting six ports in the UK and is currently in Cardiff. From 23rd October – 5th November, it's Liverpool's turn!

You are warmly invited to visit and experience her history (as a former car ferry!), stories and its mission too. You'll be able to meet the crew, book a tour of the ship, participate in onboard events, enjoy the cafe, wander the bookfair and much more. The bookfair with 5000+ general titles is the largest floating bookfair in the world.

The visit of 'Logos Hope' to Liverpool is part of OM's 'Waves of Hope' tour to the UK. The vision for Logos Hope's tour is to create a sense of encouragement for the Church to make Jesus known both here in the UK and around the world. It is raising a tide of faith to release 'waves of hope' across our nation and beyond.

Why not pick a day to come along and experience this remarkable ship and its story? Please use the link below for more details, to make a booking for a tour or attend other events:

If you would like any more information about the ship ministry or visiting Logos Hope, please talk to Paul Bell or contact the Church office.

This Sunday, 27th September, we'll be celebrating Harvest together across our morning congregations. Our preacher at 9am, and 11am is Sarah Rozenthuler, with Keith Moore speaking at CTK and Peter Madley at HTBV. The evening congregation are continuing their "Guard the Gospel" series with Anne Roberts speaking. Trinity Youth will be meeting at the same time, upstairs in the Trinity Centre.

Harvest

This Sunday we'll be celebrating our 'Harvest Festival' across the parish. As part of this, we'll be inviting us all to bring donations of non perishable goods which will be given to the Food Bank. The food bank is highlighting particular need for sugar, soap bars, noodles, dried pasta and laundry tablets but there is a longer shopping list available below.

Apple Day

This Saturday sees one of our biggest and busiest days of the year as we welcome hundreds of the local community to celebrate harvest. Please do let us know if you are able to help on the day - either during the event or with set up or tidy up. And if you are able to dust off your favourite apple cake recipe, then we would also love to hear from you. A reminder that Rachel's email is [email protected].

Do come along - with so much on offer - a hog roast, rock choir, activities for the children and a cafe too! Theres lots to enjoy and it looks as though the sun is going to shine for us too!

Board Games Evening

Back by popular demand, we have a board games evening coming up on Friday 9th October at 7pm. This is a great opportunity to meet together as all ages, play some games and enjoy one another's company. More information is on the website.
