Our Praying | Doing | Cheering theme this month is Small Groups…
Being part of a small group is so much more than a midweek gathering. It’s where faith and friendship truly take root. Whether you call it a home group, life group, or small group, it is a space where faith becomes personal, practical, and shared. In these groups, church life stretches beyond Sunday worship into the everyday, as we walk alongside one another through life’s joys and challenges.
Here, friendships grow deeper than surface conversation. Groups become safe places to ask honest questions, wrestle with doubts, celebrate milestones, and pray with and for one another. Many describe their group as a “second family” as communities where you are noticed, valued, and supported. When life feels heavy, a small group reminds us that we never carry our burdens alone.
But the groups are not only about support, they are also where faith flourishes. Reading the Bible together and hearing how others live it out makes Scripture come alive in fresh and surprising ways. Faith is strengthened, courage is renewed, and discipleship becomes something we share, not something we attempt in isolation.
Small groups are also places of welcome and mission. Hospitality opens doors for others to encounter God’s love, while shared life together becomes a living witness of the gospel.
Our groups are about doing life together—laughing, learning, praying, and growing in faith. Whether you’re new to church or have been part of it for years, you’ll find a place to belong, to deepen your faith, and to discover God’s presence in everyday life.
Grace and Peace
Ian Budd, Curate

This Sunday, 2nd November we are continuing our sermon series in the mornings looking at the New Testament letter to the Colossians…in which Paul constantly reminds us to keep Jesus at the centre of all that we do. At 9am and 11am our speaker will be Ian Budd, with Robert Parsons speaking at CTK. HTBV will be hosting Messy Church at 9am, followed by Cafe Church where Fi Iddon will be leading and speaking. The evening sees us our monthly Presence Communion service, and Bertie Beer will be speaking to us. Trinity Youth will not be meeting this week.
Service of Remembering

Twice a year, we hold these very special ‘Services of Remembering‘ during which we remember before God all those whose funerals we have conducted in recent months, as well as those who may have died long ago but who we still hold in our hearts. It’s a privilege to invite those who have lost someone into Church, and to offer them a time of peace and prayer. Everyone is welcome to attend this service, which is taking place on this Sunday, 2nd November at 3pm, and if you have the name of a loved one that you would like to be read out then you can either contact the church office, speak to a member of the team, or simply turn up ten minutes before the start of the service. This service is followed by refreshments and fellowship for those who would like it.
Remembrance Sunday
In all our services across the parish on 9th November, we’ll be pausing to remember those who have given their lives in war, or been victims of war. In order for us to pause at 11am, the Mid Morning Service will begin at 10.45am on that day.
PA Training
We are so blessed to have a new and (almost) gremlin free PA at Holy Trinity, along with wonderful people to operate it. We’ve got some training sessions coming up over the next fortnight for people who might be interested in learning a bit more – no strings attached. If this is you, then please do get in touch with the office.
Leaf Clearing

The Autumn leaves may look beautiful, but they do need to be cleared up! We’re having our annual leaf clearing morning on Saturday 22nd November, and would value any help that you can offer… many hands make light work!
Advent Stalls

On 23rd November, in-between the 9am and 11am, and after the 11am service, we’ll be having our usual selection of Advent stalls with Illuminate, Fair Trade, Windfall, Faithful Pages, Rachel’s cards and Izzy’s cakes making an appearance. There will be access to a card machine. This is a great opportunity to support some local producers and other charities associated with our Church Family – as well as doing a bit of Christmas shopping!
Big Sunday Lunch

Sunday 23rd November also sees the Big Sunday Lunch. If you are already in a group then an invitation should be winging it’s way to you over the next week or so. If you aren’t in a group and would like us to find some space around a table then please do sign up via the website or give the office a ring.
