This week we hear about our Praying | Doing | Cheering theme for this month, which looks at the opportunities for sharing the love of Jesus on Sweetlake.
It has been 16 months since we started pioneering on Sweetlake, visiting regularly to represent Trinity Churches and build community. It has been really encouraging to see familiar faces coming to be part of our afternoon get together. We usually provide refreshments and treats. Sometimes the treats are extra special, for example, if it corresponds with Pancake Day or Easter, we have Pancakes or hot cross buns. Having members of CTK helping monthly is a huge blessing. Recently we have been joined by a few members of Trinity Tiggers (one of the Monday small groups) and again we so appreciate their help in serving, chatting to individuals, and being a presence in the community.
Our next Sweetlake get together is on Monday 18th of May from 3.30pm to 4.30pm. We would love to build a team to help with this ministry on Sweetlake. If you would like to be part of the team or would like more information please get in touch with us. We usually have lots of fun, great conversations, and most of all we try to reflect Jesus's love and care to the community.
Grace and Peace
Amal Moore, Pioneer Community Minister
This Sunday, 3rd May, we'll be continuing our morning sermon series looking at the book of Hebrews. Our preacher at 9am, CTK and 11am will be Ian Budd, with Charles Ruxton speaking Cafe Church at HTBV (which follows Belle Vue's Messy Church at which begins at 9am). The evening service is looking at 1 Timothy with Alex Aldous will be speaking. Trinity Youth not will be meeting this week.
Electoral Roll: last call!
We did a full revision of the electoral roll last year, but for those of you who have joined our church family since then, we would love to invite you to join the Electoral Roll – which is simply a list that says you belong here (and we are glad that you do!) There will be paper forms available in Church on Sunday but the easiest way to join is by clicking the link below...

PCC and Deanery Synod Elections
Advance notice that our APCM, the closest thing that we have to an AGM, takes place on Sunday 17th May at 6.30pm. It's an opportunity to look back with grateful thanks, and look forward with prayerful hope. It's also a chance for people to ask questions in relation to any part of Church Life. As part of this, we will be electing a number of people to serve on the PCC and Deanery Synod. If you might be interested in one of the vacancies (and particularly if you are from our potentially under represented congregations of 9am, CTK and the evening service) then please do have a word with one of the Ministry Leaders team, or with one of the Church Wardens. I'm delighted to say that the wardens are all happy to stand for re-election (though this does not mean you cannot express an interest, should you wish to do so).
CTK Prayer: This Sunday
CTK prayer for Radbrook takes place this Sunday at 9.45am, before the service. Do come and join us!
God Outdoors
We are very much appreciating these four weeks exploring 'God Outdoors' and are so grateful to those people who are leading us as we seek to deepen our awareness of the goodness of God.
This coming Tuesday, 5th May, we'll be exploring the sounds of creation with Rachel Woods leading us in 'God in the Woods.' Please meet in the Memorial Garden at 7.30pm wearing suitable clothing to be outside for an hour, and if you have a camping chair then it would be good to bring this, too (but do not worry if you don't have one!)
Then following Thursday, 14th May, is Ascension Day and we'll be celebrating with a simple campfire service in the Glebe Field at 7pm. Please make sure that you wear suitable footwear, and again you may want to bring a camping chair with you. If you would like to 'Ascend the Tower' first, then our Tower Captain Michael will meet you at the Tower Door at 6.30pm.
Prayer Course
A daytime prayer course is beginning this Tuesday in the Trinity Centre. Gather from 9am for coffee and snacks, with the session running from 9.30am to 11am. There will be a creche available for these sessions. You can sign up below for this (or just 'come along'), and please do get in touch with Keith Moore if you have the relevant checks and training and would be prepared to help with the creche during one or more of the sessions.

Our next Big Sunday Lunch is a fortnight on Sunday. Those of you who are in groups will hopefully have an invitation winging its way to you in the next few days. Half Night of Prayer
As many of you will know, the time between Ascension and Pentecost is a chance for Christians around the world to gather together and pray 'Thy Kingdom Come'. We'll be coming together at Trinity for our termly Half Night of Prayer on Wednesday 20th May as we pray for God's Kingdom to come in the parish here and beyond. As always, you can come and go during the evening - and we encourage everyone to come for at least half a hour if they are able to do so.
Shrewsbury Youth for Christ Quiz Night
Shrewsbury Youth for Christ, one of the charities that we support, is holding a fundraising quiz night two weeks today at Christ Church Bayston Hill. It should be a really fun evening!
Holy Trinity Belle Vue Plant Sale
Our friends at HTBV will be holding their annual 'Plant and Craft Sale' on Saturday 16th May. This is always a really lovely occasion. If you have plants to donate then you can drop them down on Friday evening or Saturday morning - or speak to Julian Durbin who will be having a stall for 'Operation Agri' as part of the sale.

The latest edition of Trinity Life is available both at services and on the website.
