A lovely friend that I first met when she attended our Trinity Tots group recently told me something that I didn't know: the first time she came to the group as a tired and overwhelmed new mum, she couldn't face coming in the door and walked away!

The next week, she plucked up the courage to try again and was spotted by one of the fabulous volunteers who encouraged her in with a warm welcome, whisked the baby from her arms (we love any opportunity to cuddle a newborn!), and introduced her to other mums. Things snowballed from there as she found support, advice, friendship and a huge sense of belonging, and this lovely mum describes how the tots group has changed her life for the better and she has even found the faith that she had been searching for!

The work of toddler groups is so important, and this week there was a reception in Westminster to launch the national month of prayer for toddler groups. We sent along a sheep to represent Trinity Tots, in a flock with 200 others representing groups across the UK. Groups that offer a warm welcome to everyone, build positive connections and friendships at a time when many parents can feel lonely, isolated and overwhelmed, and offer the opportunity to encounter the love of Jesus and sometimes take the first steps of faith.

During this month of prayer, please join us in praying for our Trinity Tots groups and our monthly Toddler Church, for the amazing team of volunteers and the children and adults that come along. If you'd like to find out more about how you can be involved in this hugely rewarding ministry, please do get in touch.
