"The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands" (Psalm 19:1)

There is a particular kind of joy that comes when we step outside and let God's creation do the talking for a while. The sky, the trees, and the stones underfoot are a living page of scripture that whisper of the amazing creative God who made them. This becomes personal when we slow down enough to look and listen.

I find this most often in small things when out walking. There is the way light catches a pond or a stone. There is the joy of birdsong at dawn or dusk. There is the sudden, ridiculous perfection of a single wildflower. These moments have a way of refreshing us and drawing us back to God. They remind us that worship is not only what happens inside a building, but what happens when we notice God at work, breath, and give thanks.

Being outdoors invites a different kind of attention. It loosens the grip of our diaries and task lists. It opens space for wonder, for questions, for being present, for quiet gratefulness. It also invites creativity. We can respond with a sketch, a short prayer, a shared silence, or simply a story told over a cup of tea. For many of us, nature is where theology becomes tangible; our Creator's fingerprints are visible in texture and colour and rhythm.

If you love the outdoors or want to learn to see it afresh, come and join others who delight in creation. Together we'll listen, reflect, and let the beauty around us point our hearts back to our loving God who made it all.

Grace and Peace

Ian Budd, Curate

This sunday (1).jpg

This Sunday,
19th April, we'll be continuing our morning sermon series looking at the book of Hebrews - while still very much keeping a post Easter celebration theme! Our preacher at 9am, CTK and 11am will be Neville Willerton, with Ian Budd speaking at HTBV. The evening service will see the monthly Focus service, with a chance for some extended prayer times, hosted by Ian Budd. Trinity Youth will be meeting at 6.30pm upstairs in the Trinity Centre, as they continue studying Revelation.

Electoral Roll

MB (1).jpg

We did a full revision of the electoral roll last year, but for those of you who have joined our church family since then, we would love to invite you to join the Electoral Roll – which is simply a list that says you belong here (and we are glad that you do!) There will be paper forms available in Church on Sunday but the easiest way to join is by clicking the link below...

PCC and Deanery Synod Elections

2024 Trinity APCM.jpg

Advance notice that our APCM, the closest thing that we have to an AGM, takes place on Sunday 17th May at 6.30pm. It's an opportunity to look back with grateful thanks, and look forward with prayerful hope. It's also a chance for people to ask questions in relation to any part of Church Life. As part of this, we will be electing a number of people to serve on the PCC and Deanery Synod. If you might be interested in one of the vacancies (and particularly if you are from our potentially under represented congregations of 9am, CTK and the evening service) then please do have a word with one of the Ministry Leaders team, or with one of the Church Wardens. I'm delighted to say that the wardens are all happy to stand for re-election (though this does not mean you cannot express an interest, should you wish to do so).

Who Let the Dads Out

Who Let the Dads Out begins tomorrow at 9.30am. There has been significant interest in this so please do pray for the right number of people to turn up, and for a good number of church folk to be able to offer a warm welcome. If you are a Dad with children up to 11 years old, then we would love to see you! Pray particularly for Jason, Cerys and Ian heading this up.

Spring Walk

On Saturday 25th April, we'll be meeting at 10.30am in St Mary's Lane carpark in Much Wenlock to enjoy a Spring walk to look at the bluebells. The distance is about 7 miles, and it's helpful if you can sign up via the website.

God Outdoors

Keith Photo (1).jpg

We are really looking forward to be spending four weeks exploring our Creator in, and through, His Creation. Beginning on Wednesday 22nd April, and spread over different days of the next month, we're so grateful to those people who will be leading us as we seek to deepen our awareness of the goodness of God. Details of each event, including meeting places and wet weather plan, are on the website, and I've linked to the first two below. There is generally no need to sign up, but it would be helpful to know numbers for 'Creator in Creation.' Our hope is that these sessions will appeal to those of us who may have been following Jesus for a longtime, alongside those who may be exploring faith. All are welcome!
